    This Forbes 30 under 30 entrepreneur founded Sea Going Green in late 2017 in efforts to merge her two passions together - travel and marine biology.

    Ally holds a Master of Aquatic Biology/Limnology from the University of Amsterdam as well as an undergraduate degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Toronto and the National University of Singapore.

  • Melissa Novotny | Operations Manager | Sustainable Tourism Consultant

    Political Scientist from the United States with 8+ years of experience in international development, policy strategization and sustainable tourism consulting.

    Melissa holds a Master of Science from the University of Amsterdam in Political Science and a double Bachelor of Arts in History & International and Comparative Politics from the American University of Paris.

  • Angelica Vartmann | Marketing Manager | Sustainable Tourism Consultant

    B.A. in International Studies of Tourism Management from the University of Applied Sciences-Bremen.

    As our marketing manager and sustainable tourism consultant, Angelica is responsible for spearheading Sea Going Green’s own marketing initiatives while guiding our clients towards responsible and environmentally conscious practices and translating project outcomes into captivating designs.

  • Dominique van Straaten | B Corp Consultant

    Dominique is a founder and B Corp consultant who helps SMEs kick-start their B Corp and impact journey. With her background in Global Business & Sustainability, she knows how to make the corporate world more sustainable in a social and environmental way. Additionally, her extensive experience as a volunteer for multiple ocean conservation foundations makes her an all-round sustainability consultant.

  • Sabine Reijm | Sustainable Tourism Consultant

    Sabine is a consultant a with a main focus on researching the current legislation within a client’s target areas to encourage the adoption of new practices that adhere to the newest sustainable tourism policies.

    She obtained a BSc in Tourism from Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands, whereafter she did a MSc in International Development, with a specialization in the sociology of sustainable tourism development, also from Wageningen University & Research.

  • Hanna Dijkstra | Sustainable Tourism Consultant

    Social scientist with expertise in sustainability challenges and solutions.

    Hanna will receive her PhD on sustainable plastic management in 2023 and has expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods. At Sea Going Green she works on sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement and communication.

  • Shanna Aerts | Sustainable Tourism Consultant

    Shanna has obtained her bachelors degree in International tourism management at Tio business school in Amsterdam. During her study she obtained knowledge and skills in tourism, business and corporate social responsibility. She gained practical experience in marine ecotourism and hospitality in various locations such as Tenerife, the Azores, and Latvia, fueled by her passion for marine life. Currently, she works as a travel specialist, gaining valuable industry experience, and specializes in sustainable tourism with Sea Going Green. Following her thesis work with Sea Going Green, she continues to contribute to the organization by conducting sustainable tourism consultancy research.

    Julia, in her final year at Bremen University of Applied Sciences studying International Applied Leisure Studies, is passionate about sustainability, particularly in the tourism sector. Her academic focus and previous four years of industry experience, coupled with a marketing internship, equip her with valuable insights and skills. As the Social Media and Marketing Intern for Sea Going Green, she is dedicated to producing engaging content that aligns with the company's mission to enhance its online footprint and advocate for sustainable tourism practices.
